Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Choose models that permit you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models are compatible with your smartphone. Check for an app that lets you save maps, create schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to locate the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even over raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or carpets.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.
This robot combo is easy to set up and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled as needed. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good with a pair of spinning mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction which is a great feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than other models however, and tends to leave a large space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, alter the suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. But, you'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt however, it's not able to reach every last piece of dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. Internet Page Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. This device also collects more dust in the bin, which means you don't have to empty it as frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
